- First can you tell me what really is division?
- So what do you need help in first?
- Sure! so as you know that multiplication is repeated addition, so just like that division is repeated subtraction.For ex-5 times 3= 5+5+5=1515 divided by 3=15-3=12; 12-3=9; 9-3=6; 6-3=3; 3-3=0Thus 15 divided by 3 is 5

- There are 4 parts of division-dividend,divisor,quotient and remainder.dividend-The number that is too be divided. divisor-The number of equal groups it is to be divided into.quotient- the value obtained after performing division.remainder-The left out value which is part of no group.

- Oh... Ok! Now everything makes sense! Now I'll ace that revision!
- The last thing I'll tell you about is the division algorithm. When we divide any two numbers the product of divisor and quotient added to the remainder is always equal to the value of the dividend. Thus, the general formula of division is: Dividend = (Divisor × Quotient) + Remainder.
