Opens in a neighborhood with tall bland buildings. The camera goes on a sign revealing it is named Cutler Street. The time period is set around 1950 during the second red scare. Kids are seen playing in the street and adults are seen speaking to each other about their jobs and the latest gossip. Then Mr. Freddrick comes out of his house claiming that someone has stolen his ID badge to his government job.

Everyone is very concerned. Everyone is talking about how it could be a communist spy that wants to break into the government building and steal their secrets. Mrs. Lemon points out that the spy is most likely living on Cutler Street.

Everyone is shouting out their suspicions when Mr. Jenkins come out from the Alley behind Mr. Freddrickson's house. All the neighbors are immediately suspicious of him some even go as far as blatantly accusing him of being communist. Mr. Jenkins defends himself by saying that he was simply throwing out trash. He then counter accuses Mr. Freddrickson of being the communist and he was saying it was stolen to cover up he stole it.

The shouting is getting louder and louder then suddenly someone throws a rock at Mr. Jenkins. This only makes arguments more heated and draw more people into their own groups of accusations.

People are getting angrier and more mob like by the second. People start arming with anything they can find. You can see people getting violent, shoving not like minded individuals. It is seen that punches are thrown, people are kicked, and friendships are broken.

The camera cuts onto some kids in a park looking onto Carver street. They are distraught and one turns to the other before saying "You could have just fessed up". The second kid looks shameful then pulls out an ID badge that is covered in mud.
