- In July 1879, the Zulus lost the Battle of Ulundi and their kingdom. In 1887, the Zulu nation fell to British control.

- The British discovered golds and diamonds so they all rushed trying to invade them. The Boers blamed the British for trying to invade them and took up arms against them
- The British started the invasion heavily burning the Boer farms, while the Boers launched commando raids and used guerrilla tactics against the British.
- We will use guerrilla tactics to stop the invasion!!!
