- Quickly, Jesus made the Disciples hop onto the boat and go ahead of him.
- After dismissing them, he walked to the up to the mountain sidealone so he could pray.
- Later that evening, he was there by himself. The boat was already farfrom the shore with waves crashing and the winds against it.
- Later while the sun rose, Jesus went to them, walking on the lake. The followers were scared, as he kept walking across the lake. “It’s a ghost,” they shouted in fear. But Jesus quickly said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Do not be afraid”.
- “Lord if it’s you,” Peter said, “Tell me to come to you on the water”“Come” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came to Jesus.But when seeing the wind, he became afraid and began to sink into the lake’s water. He shouted out “Lord! Save me” Quickly Jesus reached out his hand and got him.
- “You of little faith” he said, “Why did you doubt?” And once they climbed into the boat; the wind went down.Then those who were in the boat adored and praised him “Truly you are the son of God”
