- To gain communist control over Europe, the Soviet Army wanted to capture Berlin.
- Hitler Commits Suicide- April 30'th 1945 -
- The Battle of Seelow Heights was the first battle of the Battle of Berlin. Some tactics used were: German Nuclear Program, Anti-Tank Ditches, Trenches, Bunkers, Flame throwers, Grenades, Natural resources. It is known as the largest artillery bombardment in history.

- The Karstadt am Hermanplatz was a German department store containing food supplies, and other materials. Since it was likely the store would be captured, Germany blew up the warehouse, because they'd rather nobody have it than their enemies have it.
- The End- May 2'nd 1945 -
- After it was clear that Germany would be defeated, Hitler appointed a head of state, and a chancellor, then he took a cyanide pill, and shot himself in the head in his underground bunker. His wife also committed suicide, and his dog died after being used to test the cyanide pills.
- The USSR takes over the German parliament building (Reich Stag), and Germany surrenders the war after 92,000 German casualties.
- The Soviet Army flag is raised over the Reich stag, and Germany is defeated, creating the end of war in Europe.
