- Finally, I reached the city after my father's farm started to go under. My cousin, James, seems like a good person who can show me around. We are currently in her home in a company town. There were so many people in one home, it was surprising at first. Time to go on a 5-minute walk to work. I hope life here is little fun.

- It's so difficult working here. The boss isn't appreciative of us, we barely get any breaks, they just cut our wages, and it's more dangerous working here than in the fields. I agree, I want to protest at the American Railway Union for better working conditions. It's my First Amendment right.
- The Pullman Strike threatened many workers' lives and killed many.
- We joined the American Railway Union as a part of their boycotting of unfair wage cuts and unsafe workcitions. It's baffling to me how long they've had to live like animals on a farm.
- I've officially joined the Union and everyone seems to like Eugene Debs. It's probably because he began the Union and supports the people, not his own interests. I want to grow up just like him. But what's that coming in directly at us from the sky??
- Boss Pullman finally attacked back with guns and legal action. Our petition has been seen as a federal issue by President Cleveland. We have multiple firearms shooting at us. Everything about woking during this time is too dangerous.
