- Of Course!! An exponent refers to the number of times a number is multiplied by itself. For example, 2 to the 3rd means: 2 x 2 x 2 = 8
- Hey! Can you help me? I don't get anything about Exponents and the rules of it .. What even are exponents??

- product of power property is different bases raised to the same power can be grouped in a product that will be raised to that power.
- Oh okay ! Then what is product of power property ?
- for example 2 to the power of 4 multiplied by 2 to the power of 3 the answer is 2 to the power of 7

- when dividing power with the same base the exponents are subtracted ! example 3^7 over 3^3 the answer is 3^4!

- Good question! Well power of power property is simply multiplying the exponents.for example (5^2)^3 will equal to 5^6

- okay , any nonzero number to the zero power is equivalent to 1 , like 5^0 = 1
- What about zero and negative exponent rule
- and any nonzero number to the negative n power is the multiplicative inverse of its nth power , just like 7^-3 = 1 over 7^3
