- The Thane of Cowder should be executed immediately!

- Macbeth kills the rebel leader Macdonwald.
- Act 1, Scene 5
- Look like the innocent flower, but be a innocent serpent underneath
- Macbeth and Banquo receive news of the Thane of Cowder execution. This initiates of committing murder in order to obtain the crown.
- Act 1, Scene 6 & 7

- King Duncan executes the Thane of Cowder and thanks Macbeth.
- The Thane of Cowder betrayed you in battle!
- Lady Macbeth tries to persuade Macbeth to kill King Duncan. Lady Macbeth asks the spirits to turn her kindness into bitterness.
