- Parris: And what shall I say to them? That my daughter and my niece I discovered dancing like heathen in the forest?
- Abigail: Uncle, we did dance; let you tell them I confessed it - and I’ll bewhipped if I must be. But they’re speakin’ of witch-craft. Betty’s not witched.
- Abigail: She made me do it! She made Betty do it!She makes me drink blood!
- Parris: Blood!!
- Tituba: Abby!
- Mrs. Putnam: My baby’s blood?
- Elizabeth, with a smile, to keep her dignity: John, if it were not Abigail that you must go to hurt, would you falter now? I think not. I see what I see, John
