- Hey mom, no it's okay! I really want to try and do it myself. Plus I'm making something simple
- Hey Lauren, what are you doing? I can make you some food if you want?
- Ok, I will and I'll follow a recipe too.
- I'll be outside!! well make sure your watching over the water boiling.
- Well, now the water is boiling and I set a 10 min timer, I can go lay down for a bit right
- It was only for a few minutes mom!!! Jeez I'll go over there now, sorry!!
- LAUREN! I thought you were making food? And were ACTUALLY going to watch it? You can't leave the stove
- See, it's not safe to leave water/food alone b/c it can boil over. So, for the future, just stand by it and don't leave. Ok?
- Okay, mom!! Thank you for explaining why it's not safe and how I can correct it!!
