- I was looking at pond water and barrel drained water with a simple microscope and to my surprise I found single celled organisms I called them beasties but that might scare people so I call them animalcules .

- I was looking at plant cells with a compound microscope when i noticed that cork was made of small boxes I called cells. they reminded me of where monks lived the boxes were actually the cell wall.
