Storyboard-Text

  • Of course, I remember that there are five scientists involved in electromagnetic wave theory, and they are Michael Faraday,Hans Christian Oersted,James Cleck Maxwell,Heinrich Hertz, and lastly Andre-Marie Ampere
  • Do you recall our teacher's last-year lesson on electromagnetic wave theory?
  • I adore his concept as well, however did you see how Hans Oested demonstrated how a current carrying wire behaves like a magnet?
  • Oh, yes, I recall how amazing that was.
  • Yes, they are excellent scientists, and I admire Michael Faraday's formulation of the theory of electromagnetic induction.
  • James Maxwell also accomplished a fantastic job by contributing to the development of equations that demonstrated the link between electricity and magnetism.
  • Maxwell observed that a changing magnetic field causes an electric field to change, and vice versa.
  • Heinrich Hertz was a brilliant German physicist and experimentalist who demonstrated that the electromagnetic waves predicted by James Clerk Maxwell actually exist
  • Yes, I'm aware of it, and I think it's cool.
  • Did you know that? Hertz is also the man whose name is attached to the frequency unit; one hertz equals one cycle per second.
  • I also appreciate his famous quote, “True greatness is when your name is spelled with a lower case letter, like ampere, watt, and fourier.”
  • Andre-Marie Ampere made a contribution as well; he was the one who founded and termed electrodynamics, which is currently known as electromagnetic. The ampere, a measurement for measuring electric current, bears his name in everyday life.
