Storyboard-Text

  • After failing to decide which hill was supposed to be used for their city by augury, they decided to battle. The twins fought, and fought, until eventually one of them won. As Romulus pulled the sword from his brother's body, he wondered if it was all worth it. And that is how Rome came to be a city.
  • Let's go
  • After giving their grandfather the throne, the twins left Alba Longa and decided to found their own city nearby. The twins set out to find a place suitable for a city but also by where their adoptive father had found them. The twins came across two hills, the Palatine Hill, and the Aventine Hill. Romulus preferred the Palatine hill, as it was closer to where they were found. Remus preferred the Aventine hill, because it was more suitable to live on. They decided instead of arguing for forever, they should ask their grandfather for advice. So, they went back to Alba Longa, and asked Numitor what he thinks they should do. He thought that they should perform an augury, which means that they should each go on their separate hills and wait for a sign from the gods. They went back to the hills, and Remus stood on top of the Aventine hill, as Romulus stood on the Palatine hill. Remus was given a sign first, seeing six birds fly above his hill. But Romulus saw twelve birds, and since they did not agree on rules to the augury they decided to battle.
