- A young boy lives in a Christian town in Asia, where he goes to school and then walks through a Jewish area to go home. At school he hears the song "O Alma redemptoris", which is a song for Christ's mother, Mary.
- O Alma redemptoris♪
- After learning it from an older boy he sings it through the streets of the Jewish area.
- You shall be hanged!
- Satan convinces the people that live in this area that the boy's song is offensive to their faith, so they conspire to murder him.
- Praise Christ and Christ's mother!
- He is thrown in a ditch after being murdered, but when he is found by his widow mother (with the help of Jesus) he is still singing, despite having a slit throat.
- The magistrate of the city comes and condemns the Jews involved in the boy's attack to death.
- The child sings (explaining that he is allowed to do so by Christ, because of the boy's devotion to Mary) until a monk removes a pearl from his tongue, and he is buried as a martyr.
