- In the beginning of the chapter we can see how Jingle and Mr Wardle's sister are running away from her brother and Mr Pickwick, after Jingle tricked Mr Wardle's sister into marrying her without his brother's consent and thus, rob him of his fortune.
- THE LAWYER
- As Jungle escapes from Mr. Wardle and Mr. Pickwick, the latter two have an accident where Jungle's deceitful and cheeky personality is exposed, Jungle, upon seeing them, says "I hope nobody got hurt" as he laughs.
- SAM WELLER AND HIS INFORMATION
- Mr. Wardle explains that Jungle wants to marry his sister Rachel for her fortune and not for love. After this, they start walking to a hotel where they get a carriage. Once they have the carriage, they head for London.
- THE END OF THE CHAPTER
- Mr. Wardle proposes to go to Mr. Perker's office, who is his lawyer, to try to find out where Jungle and Rachael are staying at the hotel. They find them at the White itart inn
- A new character named Sam Weller appears, who is a cunning and daring servant who will provide them with the information about which room Jingle and Mr. Wardle's sister are in. Thanks to this information they manage to find them.
- Seeing that Rachael went voluntarily, Mr. Wordle asks Jungle to leave his sister in exchange for money, to which he accepts. After Jungle left Mr.Wordle will be angry with Rachael and will tell her.
