- Koda the bear decided to visit his friend Freddy the fish today, so they met up at their usual meeting spot to catch up.
- Yeah. The farm up the hill gives off lots of runoff and its making all of us sick!
- whats wrong? You look sick!
- You can go to the farm up hill and teach them about the sustainable farming practices!
- Koda was so sad that his friend Freddy was'nt feeling good. He decided to ask if there was anything he could do.
- What can i do to help?
- Without hesitation Koda went up the mountians on his way to the farm.
- Whew! This is tiring!
- A few days later...
- Koda arrived at the farm and he saw the farmer watching over his fields. He decided to go up and introduce himself.
- Hey there! My name is Bill, i run this farm here.
- Hello! My name is Koda.
- I actually wanted to talk to you about that, I have a fish friend down hill from here and he says your runoff is making him and his family sick.
- Oh no! What can i do!
- Theres lots of different ways you can farm avoiding runoff. Theres strip cropping, contour cropping, terracing, and much more! For you i recommend Contour cropping which is where your rows follow the shape of the hill. Any of these sings will help all of your friends downstream.
