- Before the Great Law of Peace there was war between the five tribes of the first nations.
- The chief of the Onodaga was very mean, he would hurt his people and make them fear him. This worked on all of them except for Haiwatha.
- Haiwatha left the Onodaga wand went to the Mawhok to find the peace keeper to help him in his journey to spread peace to all five of the tribes
- Hiawatha and the peacemaker went to the five tribes.
- Hiawatha and the peacemaker brought all the tribes to agree on peace and stopping the war.
- After the war ended the tribes made "The Great Law of Peace" which is still around today.
