- The Pony Express lasted for about one year (1860-1861). It was a result of the gold rush, and since so many came there was a major need for a way for mail to get around much easier. The length of the trail was about 2000 miles in with they would switch horses every 10-15 miles and riders every 75-100 miles for efficiency
- Though they were made before the 'pony Express, They started becoming more frequent in the U.S. These helped lower down information costs between and within businesses.
- These technology advancements helped make moving information around easier and efficient. People could talk with people and get almost an immediate answer back with having to wait for some time not even knowing if it will ever reach them. However this can also affect much more dangerous stuff. For example if there is a danger near they will have to wait a good amount of time before it reaches them no matter how fast the horses are. But now they can get the information from one place to another faster than anyone could have imagined
