Storyboard-Text

  • The narrator is introduced in the Tell Tale Heart. The narrator lives in the old man’s house, everyday he takes care of him. There is something that he can’t help but be vexed by, which is the old mans pale blue eyes. With this thought in his mind, he developed a plot to murder the old man
  • The narrator lives in the same building as the old man, who has a disturbing eye. The narrator says that it is deformed, looking like a vultures eye.
  • For a whole week the narrator went into the old mans room and checked on him at midnight. So every night he would flick on his lantern just to see if the eye was open. Then every morning the narrator would go and ask the old man how he slept last night. He does this to make sure that the old man did not suspect him.
  • thump thump, ba boom, ba bump, luv dub, thump thump, ba boom, ba bump, lub dup
  • Finally on the eighth night, he decided to kill the man. In the evening, the man wakes up and the narrator kills him. He puts all the body parts underneath a plank in the old mans bedroom.
  • Summoned by the neighbor, the police arrived at the house. They citied that someone reported a scream. The narrator covers it up by saying it was him that screamed and the old man was out of town. So the narrator let them come inside. During all of this time the narrator heard a heartbeat. He thought it was the old man, but it was his heartbeat racing.
  • The story ends when the narrator gets sick of hearing the heartbeat so he confesses to the police officers because he thinks that the officers are playing him because they haven’t said anything about the heartbeat, the narrator lets out a shriek and says, “Villians!”, “dissemble no more! I admit the deed! Tear up the planks, it is the beating of his hideous heart.”
