- Wow it sure is hot out here! I'm sweating like crazy which is so annoying.
- Well actually you should be glad you are sweating. Its your body's way of cooling down.
- Receptors in your body respond to the heat which allows for the control center to process this information. The sweat glands, which are effectors, are signaled and allow for you to cool down.
- Wow I didn't know that! I'm so thankful my body reacts through negative feedback to ensure I wont overheat to much.
- Yay! I love the playground!
- Ouch! I fell and cut my knee.
- At this point the afferent to heal the cut is sent to the control center....
- One day later
- Wow thanks to positive feedback my blood cells have already overproduced and formed a scab!
- Its so cool that my brain sends efferent signals so that my body can protect from infection and heal properly.
