- Good day my name is Johnathon Joseph... my partners from Group 3 said you would've pass through so I can enlighten you about the various safety devices used on modern well site boilers.
- Boilers Code requires that every steam boiler that is automatically ignited and not under the constant supervision of a certified operator must be fitted with two approved low-water cut-off devices.
- These devices are made to cut off the fuel supply if the water level drops.The configuration should be such that the water level must be sufficiently dropped to activate the low-water cut-off and turn off the boiler.
- the second type are called Electric often referred to as an electric probe and relay type low fuel cut-off switch
- There are different types of water cut off devices... first we have Float also likewise known as a low fuel cut off switch
- The third type is called Second- used to protect against low water situations, a second low-water cut-off switch that operates independently from the feedwater control mechanism is installed.
