Ideology is all about people’s own beliefs on how they think the entire world should work such as the belief on human nature whether an individual can accomplish their goals or an entire group. The two sides to ideology are Collectivism and Individualism. Collectivism is the idea of a group being the most important rather than an individual. Some examples of Collectivism are that a group is responsible for each member’s actions and that cooperation is the key to success. Individualism is the idea of a single individual being more important than a group. Some examples of Individualism are that an individual is the only one being held accountable for their own actions than an entire group and that competing against each other can make them more successful. Personally, I am more of a collectivist because: Positive aspect of Collective Interest: When it comes to accomplishing goals in a group, members of the group discuss how they will meet our goals and what kind of plans they would come up with in order to be successful. Negative aspect of Self-Interest: Some boys who use the toilet for themselves occasionally don’t clean it up after using it. What influenced my opinion to be a collectivist is when I’ve watched movies and TV shows such as Avengers: Endgame, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Stargirl that offered teamwork, and it led to success.
