- This is the story of a Jonathon Richards II, a plantation owner during the early-mid 1800's. He lived in a large house and owned a large plot of land in Virginia. He considered himslef an oppurtunist who made much money.
- Jonathon owned many slaves, all worked hard and long for about 12 hours a day. The plantation that Jonathon owned was a cotton based plantation which means the slaves picked cotton most of the day. But they were compensated well since they were fed meals and allowed a place to stay.

- Another part of their daily life was religious sessions. These small masses did the good deed of converting the slaves into Christians. They were also more productive in work since it alllowed them more downtime.
- Slaves were unpredictable and would try to run away all the time, So discipline was very important not only so they didn't think about escaping but also to increase production. Jonathon was quite good at enforcing his deiscipline upon his slaves.

- Jonathon would let the slaves sing songs since everytime they were somewhat positive they seemed to be more productive and get more done.

- After I was auctiioned to Jonathon, he also bought my sister. She lives and works in the main house where she is treated well by the master.
- Because we all get to live and work together we have formed our own family.
