Eckels pays a lot of money to go on a time travel hunting trip in prehistoric time.
Don't touch anything, it will ruin history forever. don't go off the path. Don't shoot unless instructed. Don't....Don't...Don't...
Eckels
ECKELS! STAY ON THE PATH!!!
THIS THING IS HUGE! I wanna go home
oh my gosh!
I TOLD YOU NOT TO GO OFF THE PATH!! YOU CHANGED HISTORY
If you touch anything, or go off the path, there is a large fine, and you will have time in jail. It will ruin the course of time and change EVERYTHING. .................
FORESHADOWING
foreshadowing
yeah, whatever.
The guide is talking about all the bad things that could happen and how to prevent it, but Eckels doesn't even pay attention. this is our first foreshadowing that he is going to do something wrong.
Another example of foreshadowing is when the author describes how large and frightening the T-Rex is, and how frightened and nervous and out of control Eckels is.
A third example of foreshadowing is when they arrive back in present time, and the narrator describes the office as the same, but not the same. It puts off a bad mood.
