- Bob and Randy were drowning Ponyboy this made Johnny scared that they were gonna kill Pony boy and try and kill him too. This had caused him to stab Bob so he would kill anyone.
- Ponyboy and Johnny went to Dally for help. They didnt know what to do because they both were still in shock. Dally told them were to go and gave them money, a gun, and a new shirt because Ponyboy shirt was wet. The text states on page 57, "You really killed him, huh, Johnny? Said Dally"
- Ponyboy and Johnny took a train to Windrexeille to go to s church to hide from the police and other people that might want to get reveange on them.
