- This is John. John is an engineering major in the engineering LLP at the university of Kentucky. He is interested in jump starting his experience in engineering, so he is talking to his peer mentor.
- Hey! I was wondering if there was any way I could get experience in engineering before I graduate?
- We just implicated something in this LLP that would be great for what you’re looking for!
- John and his peer mentor sat down while John’s peer mentor explained what was recently implemented into the LLP to better John’s future career and give him more experience in the workforce.
- So, the program I mentioned earlier is to provide an internship through the LLP in an engineering job.
- It will provide you an internship with Boeing because that is the company the UK engineering LLP is partnered with!
- Oh wow thats perfect! Why did this get added and how do I get involved?
- John really loved this idea of an internship at Boeing and wanted to know more. He wanted to learn all about it and apply!
- I’m glad you're interested! To get involved all you have to do is fill out a form about what you want to do in engineering! This will help make sure you’re placed in an internship you want.
- Of course! I have it right here, just hand it back to me when you’re finished!
- Awesome! Can I have that form right now?
- John went back to his dorm and checked his email, he realized he got an email back from Boeing!
- Wow! That was so easy! And I got the job that I wanted too!! This is an amazing program
- After John got finished with reading his email, his roommate Mark walked in and was wondering what he was so happy about.
- Hey man, what are you looking at? Did you get an internship already? How??
- Hey! Yes I did get an internship! It’s a new program through our LLP where you can get one too!
- Mark went and talked to the peer mento as well and got an internship! This program really increased the opportunities students in LLP’s have in comparison to other students.
- Sure thing! Just fill out this form and you’re good to go!
