  • GRAVITY AND FRICTION
  • Hi, I’m Cheska and today I will show you the importance of Gravity and Friction
  • By: Franchesca Rae Magarzo
  • Oh no! How is this happening? Isn’t gravity supposed to keep us on Earth?
  • What do you think is happening?
  • Why are we floating?
  • Whoa! This is way too fast! we need to stop!
  • Aaahhh! We needed friction so that we would be able to stop and not bump on the wall!,
  • Today we will be learning about the concept of gravity and friction and how this two is of vital in our daily lives.
  • Gravity is awesome!
  • Skydiving is really awesome but how gravity works here?
  • We are going fast!
  • That’s a good idea.
  • Gravity is the force of attraction that pulls different objects, like humans towards the Earth.
  • Let’s do some rock climbing
  • Rock climbing is really fun too. So let’s find out how friction works here
  • Friction is the force that opposes motion between any surfaces that are in contact. Without friction, they not be able to stop and hit the wall.
  • So that’s the end of our adventure. See again for more fun learning and exploration!
  • Gravity is an important part of skydiving because skydiving wouldn’t exist if gravity was nonexistent. Gravity is what helps skydivers fall to the ground. Skydivers starts to accelerate as they fall, and it gets slower over time.
  • Friction is a big and very important part of rock climbing. In rock climbing, climbers use chalk to create more friction on their hands so they don’t fall. Also, rock climbing shoes have a lot of friction that has grip so they don’t slip.
  • Let’s put friction to a test
  • Science is really fun and interesting, see in my next adventures.
