- Hey guys, I looked around the island, and I don't think anyone lives here. I don't know about you, but i'm really hungry. Eurylochus, let's split up and try to find some food.
- Of course, captain. I will get right on that.
- Hello there! We are travelers that are hungry, tired and weary. Could you possibly spare us some food?
- Hmm... I don't know about this...
- Hi! My name is Circe. I am feeling very generous today, so please help yourselves to my feast.
- Uhhh... Gotta run!!!!
- Why don't you have something to eat?! You can be with your friends forever!
- Odysseus and his crew landed on a mysterious island that looked inhabited, so Odysseus decided to split them up to look for something to eat because they were famished.
- Great Odysseus, it is very nice to see you again. Please take this herb, for it will protect you against Circe's spells. When her spells fail, she will try to seduce you. Threaten her with your sword and tell her to release your men.
- Thank you so much Hermes!!!!
- Eurylochus and his men come across a very large castle with meek wild animals surrounding it. They hear a beautiful voice signing within the castle, and they enter the castle out of curiosity. The woman inside offers the men her food. Eurylochus is the only one who doesn't eat the food because he senses a trap.
- I will spare you, but only if you agree not to try and harm me or my men again. You also need to transform my men back into humans.
- Your attempt at sorcery doesn't affect me!!
- Please, please don't hurt me! I really didn't mean any harm to you or your men. I'll do anything you want, but don't hurt me, I'm begging you!
- Yes, of course.
- Although Circe looked nice and innocent, she was actually a sorceress who changed the men into pigs! Luckily, Eurylochus didn't eat the food, so he was able to run away before she could change him too. He ran straight to Odysseus and he told him what happened.
- I've had a really nice time with you Circe, but I think that it's time for me to leave and start my journey back home.
- Before you go, I have one thing to tell you. If you want to be able to get home, you should go seek knowledge from Tiresias in the land of the dead.
- Eurylochus told Odysseus about the men being transformed, and naturally, Odysseus wanted to go investigate. Along the way to the castle, he ran into Hermes, who gave him a herb to help protect him from Circe's spells and enchantments.
- Once Odysseus arrived at Circe's castle, Circe tried to transform him, but he was protected by Hermes's drug. Circe tried to seduce Odysseus, but Odysseus didn't oblige her and instead asked her to not harm him and transform his men back into humans. She agreed to his terms.
- Odysseus ended up staying at Circe's island for a year. Before he left, Circes gave him advice on where to find knowledge about how he could get home.
- I will, don't worry. Thank you for everything you've done for me Circe!
