There was once two worlds within our universe. One very ancient and the other much newer; and covered entirely by water.
Gleiten: 2
Be careful Charm, curiosity isn't always a good thing
Okay! I will be careful!
On the ancient world lived a woman named Charm, who was known for her immense curiosity.
Gleiten: 3
What to eat what to eat?
Perhaps a red fern root, pregnant humans love them!
Not me please
Little did Charm know, that curiosity would get the better of her. She was pregnant, and sought something new and interesting to eat.
Gleiten: 4
Where do I find this root Rabbit?
Only under the oldest trees of this world
Charm be careful! digging to deep is dangerous
Upon hearing of this root, Charm had to find it and have it. Her curiosity was too strong not to seek it out.
Gleiten: 5
So off Charm went into the forest seeking the oldest of trees on this ancient world to find the red fern root.
Gleiten: 6
None here...
or here...
Am I ever going to find this root?
She checked tree after tree with no success. But her curiosity and determination would not allow her to give up.
Gleiten: 7
This must be it! I am sure of it!
Finally, Charm came across the largest, oldest tree of the ancient world. She began to dig, eager to find the red fern root.
Gleiten: 8
Worry about your own problems, I am going to find the red fern root!
Charm dug and dug and dug but was unable to find the red fern root. Despite warnings, she was determined to satisfy her curiosity.
Gleiten: 9
But Charm's curiosity got the better of her, for she had dug right through to the other side of the world and began tumbling through the sky and then through space.
Gleiten: 10
Charm fell further and further until she began to see a large blue dot. The dot became larger and larger until she fell into this new world.
Gleiten: 11
150lbs of human coming in fast!
Someone has to catch her!
Shes gonna make a giant wave!
She doesn't look like she would swim well
The animals of this planet saw Charm falling, and not wanting her to create a large wave upon landing they decided to take action.
Gleiten: 12
Where do we put this human!?
Somewhere large, dry and flat please!
Or like she could breathe in the water
She doesn't look like she floats either
The birds of this world came up, worked together and were able to catch Charm. But even the birds could see that Charm did not belong in the water. She asked to be placed somewhere large and flat, but on a planet of water where could that be?
Gleiten: 13
I can help you! Place the human on my shell and I will carry her
There is only room for one though!
As if he knew he was needed, a friendly turtle came over and offered to carry Charm as his shell was the only place suitable for one who could not live in the water.
Gleiten: 14
It would not be so crowded if we had some land. We need someone to dive down and get us some mud!
But the animals realize that soon Charm wouldn't be alone for long, they could see she was pregnant. But Charm had an idea...
Gleiten: 15
One by one the animals attempted to dive down and retrieve mud for Charm. But each were unable to reach the bottom and find any mud.
Gleiten: 16
I couldn't find any!
Let me try! I am great at diving
Even dolphin, one of the best swimmers was unable to find any mud. Otter, having seen their attempts thought they could use his help and offered to try and dive down to find mud Charm could use for land.
Gleiten: 17
He will be back I know he will!
Otter has been gone to long!
Otter you are okay!
Otter dove down looking for the mud. After several hours they became worried. Then a day passed... then two... the other animals were certain that Otter had drowned trying to find mud for her.
Gleiten: 18
I got it! I mean of course I did I am the best diver after all
You did it! Now I need all of your help
But on the fourth day Otter surfaced, exhuasted, and presented Charm with a large handful of mud. Charm and the other animals were relieved to see that Otter was okay. But they still needed to somehow create land from this mud
Gleiten: 19
.
But wait. Now there isn't enough room for all of us
Charm began to sing and dance, and soon the animals joined in with her. Working together, the pile of mud began to grow and grow...
Gleiten: 20
Some of us are going to have to live on land now
I don't want to live on a mud pile
Soon the mud pile grew into a large mud pile. There was so much land it took up much of the space where the animals used to live. Some of the animals would have to move, but before they could decide who Charm had her babies.
Gleiten: 21
Charm gave birth to twins! A girl and a boy. One dark and one light. One left-handed and one right-handed. And these restless children got right to work shaping the large lump of mud.
Gleiten: 22
In a matter of minutes, the right=handed twin had smoothed out all of the lumps to create a nice flat landmass. He dug trenches and filled them with water to create rivers. Then the left-handed twin began stomping down and piling up the mud into deep valleys and tall mountains.
Gleiten: 23
Is that everything?
What about other humans?
It feels like something is missing
When the right=handed twin looked back he had realized that much of the work he had done had been altered by his sister. He realized his straight rivers had been twisted, the water only ran one way now. The forest he had created had also been moved around and the trees were no longer planted nicely in rows. The twins then created seasons, with the left-handed one creating winter and the right-handed one creating summer. But something was stilll missing....
Gleiten: 24
People! So the right-handed twin created men and the left-handed twin created women. Charm, her twins, the animals and the rest of the humans then looked around and marvelled together at the wonderful world they had created.
