- Ally is sitting in Ms. Halls class room and Ms. Hall is asking the class to write a story about yourself. But Ally says that she can't think of anything worse than having to describe herself, and that she would rather write something positive.

- It was another day at school and Mr. Daniels asked the class to bring something about them selves and Ally brought a Pennie that her dad gave her before he left to go into the military. it is important to Ally because it reminds her, of her dad.

- It was the day of the holiday concert, Mrs. Muldoon hands out bouquets of flowers. Kiesha was touching the flowers when a white bud falls off, Mrs. Muldoon rushes over takes the flowers out of Kiesha's hands and tells her she will be the only girl without flowers. so then ally destroys her flowers for Kiesha.

- After school Ally took her friends to a Restaurant named Peterson's, where her mom worked. They sat down in a booth, Ally's mom asked the kids what they would like to eat. After that Albert told Ally and Kiesha how he was getting bullied, and Kiesha said that he should step up for himself.
- There's these group of boys and they meet me after school, I think why they fight me is because they think I'm a fighter.
- Ally was at Shays birthday party. Ally wanted to make a wish by holding a butterfly but when she grabbed the butterfly and accidently touched its wings, it fell to the ground. Ally goes to school to ask Albert if its true that if you touch a butterfly's wings they die.
- Kiesha invites Ally and Albert over to bake with her, Albert askes if it's time to eat yet but Kiesha says that first they need to cook. Kiesha hands the book over to Ally and tells her that she will be in charge of it, Ally doesn't know what to do because she can't read.
