- Good Morning I'm Mr. Shawn, Me and Ms. Claire is workmates and we are here to teach you about Ceres the dwarf planet
- Hi I'm Ms. Claire from NASA I'm here to teach you about Ceres a dwarf planet
- Ceres was the largest body found in the Asteroid Belt and some Astronomers also called it Ceres 1 because this is the first minor planet to be discovered
- Ceres was discovered by Father Giuseppe Piazzi in 1801 this is the first discovered in Asteroid Belt
- They hypothesized that Ceres has a Solid Core and the Mantle was made of Water Ice. It was covered with small craters with salt. They also differentiate Ceres from Earth
- Piazzi classified Ceres as a planet but in 1850s Ceres was classified as Asteroid but in 2006 it was reclassified again as a dwarf planet including Pluto and Eris
- Dawn was launched in September 2007 and it reached the Ceres and Vesta in 2011. This was the first spacecraft to enter and orbit in the Asteroid Belt
- Dawn was a mission by NASA Discovery Program that was seeking for progress and conditions of Ceres and Vesta.
