  • Hi Ana, how are you ? Could you help me with my homework? It is about the nitrogen, carbon and water cycle and its importance in a tundra..
  • Hello Sophie. Yes, I would help you. Let me first explain to you each cycle
  • The sun provides energy .1) The water cycle begins with evaporation.water vaporizes and rises up in the atmosphere.2) Ice directly converts into vapor without converting into water.3) Water falling from clouds (rain,snow...)4) water runs over the surface of earth, or is absorbed by the plants or gets evaporated
  • THE WATER CYCLE
  • The movement of water in the Earth and atmosphere
  • 1) CO2 enters our atmosphere with the help of the sun2) it heats the earth’s surface with energy3) plants take sunlight and CO2 due create energy (photosynthesis)4) animals eat that plant and the stomach converts it back to energy for growth- Processes to create carbon-based fossil fuels release CO2- Humans breathe in oxygen and breathe out CO2, plants do the opposite, and it balances the cycle.
  • THE CARBON CYCLE
  • CO2 to complete photosynthesis, animals alimentation and humans respiration.
  • 1) Plants change nitrogen gas to nitrates (nitrogen fixation)2) Plants die and decomposers break down their remains and release nitrogen in ammonium ions.3) Nitrifying bacteria make ammonium become nitrates and nitrites.4) Denitrifying bacteria convert some nitrates into nitrogen gas that return to the atmosphere to continue the cycle.
  • THE NITROGEN CYCLE
  • MOVES NITROGEN THROUGH THE BIOTIC AND ABIOTIC FACTORS IN AN ECOSYSTEM.
  • Very interesting ! It is easy to understand. But why it is important in a tundra ?
  • I will explain it to you ...
  • WATER CYCLE
  • CARBON CYCLE
  • THE NITROGEN CYCLE
  • The nitrogen cycle is used by snow and Ice, and the snow is created in the atmosphere and is made up of 79% of nitrogen.
  • Water control vegetation, even dough, the tundra is too cold for evaporation and transpiration to occur.
  • It is important because it let the plants grow in the Tundra.
