Get Your LYou can get your L on or after your 16th birthday. To achieve your L you must get at least 40 out of 50 questions right on a knowledge test. Once passing the test, you must have the red, magnetic L sign displayed on the back of your car while your driving.
RestrictionsYou must have a qualified supervisor over the age of 25. He or she has to be sitting in the passenger seat beside you. You must have zero alcohol or drugs in your blood when you drive. There is a limit of 1 passenger in addition to the supervisor. You can't have any electronic devices and there are restricted hours where you can't drive between midnight and 5am.
GET YOUR NTo get your N you'll need to pass the class 7 road test. You can take your road test as long as you've had your L license for at least 12 months and you have stayed prohibition free.
RestrictionsIn this stage your will have a new reflective, green N sign which has to be placed on the back of your car. No electronic devices, alcohol, or drugs are allowed while driving. You are only allowed to have one passenger unless your with a supervisor over the age of 25
Get your full licenseThis is the last step in graduating licensing to achieve your full license. You can take the class 5 road test once you've been a novice driver for 24 consecutive months without any driving prohibition.
