Central High School Remains CLOSED!

The Little Rock Crisis continues after Governor Faubus initially prevented nine Black students from entering Central High School last year. The high school remains closed, leaving many students with nowhere to go for their education.

The town is divided on their opinion of this. Some people, known as the integrationists, are fighting to integrate the schools, while other folks are sending their children elsewhere.

Thousands have signed the petition to reopen schools. Women are going door to door to collect signatures all over Little Rock!

The WEC (Women's Emergency Committee to Open Our Schools) has organized a petition to reopen and integrate all Little Rock school buildings. A peaceful protest was held in the center of town Monday afternoon.

Open our schools to all!
