- Daedalus and his son Icarus are stuck on a island after being punished by King Minos for escaping the tower. Attempting to escape the island was challenging since King Minos was always watching.
- Icarus, my son, can you do a favor for me?
- Daedalus gained another idea to escape the island by making wings. Icarus gathered feathers along the shore, then Daedalus melted some wax and made a skeleton shape of a birds wing. When Daedalus was finished, Icarus was quick to put on the wings but he had to be careful. "Don´t fly to close to the sun, or the wax will melt, don't go near the middle or the feathers will get clogged up," warned Daedalus.
- Daedalus and Icarus were flying in the air as freely as they hope to be. Daedalus did not fly to close to the sun or fly to close to the water, keeping his flight moderate. Meanwhile Icarus got to carried on and flew to close to the sun. The wings on the wax melted making it difficult for Icarus to fly.
- Daedalus was to late to save Icarus and buried him on the island or icaria . Through his sorrow weeping he flew and arrived in peace.
- When Daedalus arrived he built a temple to Apollo for the gods and hang up Icarus´s wings as an offering and mourned for his son, Icarus.
