- this is the Indus River and was used for drinking, washing, and to irrigate fields! This was the most important water source in the Indus civilization
- these are what the homes and cities of the Indus civilization looked like! The houses were made from mud brick so overtime people would keep building houses on top of each other. They had straight roads which criss-crossed in a grid pattern to form city blocks!
- this is the Great Bath of the Indus Civilization! This bath was used for religious purposes. People who were to bath in the "Great Bath' believed it would clear them of their sins and purify their soul
- This is a modern bathroom. However, the Indus civilization's bathroom was different. For showers they stood on a brick and poured clean water from a jar on themselves. The water flowed out of the house through pipes and then into a drain in the street.
- This is an example of an ancient seal! They used these seals for writing or as labels. They used at least 400 picture signs on them. We also learned what their Gods looked like from the seals!
- This is one theory of how the Ancient Indus civilization could have come to an end. This theory is that there was a limited crop supply. There was not enough crops to go around and the fields lost their nutrients.
