- There is a deadly plague in the town which is very contagious and fatal within 30 minutes and the whole town is suffering and dying due to illness. The illness is killing every single one swiftly.
- Prince Prospero decided to quarantine himself away from everyone but at the same time decided to throw a rager with his dominions in order to celebrate life
- There is a huge clock that chimes every hour and it has a unpleasant chime which ruins the mood in the room. The music stops and the mood is not enjoyable anymore
- When the time hit 12 o clock the clock chimed with an even more disturbing chime, that is when the grotesque figure popped up everyone was scared except Prince Prospero because he felt like his presence threatened his position
- Prince Prospero followed the disturbing figure in the hallway with the colored doors. The doors were colors that went to bright to dark colors and the last door was black. Before reaching the seventh door, The black figure turns around and kills Prince Prospero.
- The grotesque figure ended up killing everyone in the rager. The Figure symbolized death and represented the fact that death is inevitable and regardless of class it is a fate you will never escape
