- Go to Laertes and give him this money and letter.
- Yes, my lord
- Mad for thy love? We shall tell the King.
- My lord, as I was sewing, Lord Hamlet came into my room as if he came from hell.
- Spend time with Hamlet and see what has caused his recent behaviors.
- You will be rewarded thanks as fits a kings rememberance.
- Polonius tells Reynaldo to deliver money and a letter to Laertes, but before he does that he wants Reynaldo to find out what others are saying about Laertes and report back to him.
- Ophelia storms into the room telling Polonius about Hamlet and how he was doublet all unbraced; no hat upon his head; his stockings fouled, ungartered, and down-gyved to his ankle. He had looked like he had been released from hell. The Polonius questions if Hamlet has gone mad for Ophelia's love and goes to report this to the King.
- Claudius and Gertrude tells Rosencrantz and Guildernstern to try and find out Hamlet's recent transformation and Gertrude tells them if they do this they will be rewarded well.
- The ambassadors come with news that King Norway's nephew Fortinbras was going to attack Denmark, but then Norway arrested Fortinbras making him swear to never threaten Denmark again. Norway allowed Fortinbras' troops to oass through Denmark to Poland.
- Rosencrantz and Guildernstren find Hamlet, but Hamlet figures out that they were sent by the King to spy on him. Hamlet forces them to reveal that they were sent by the King. Hamlet tells them that life is not what it used to be, like he doesn't exercise anymore and doesn't see the world as a good place anymore. The actors then arrive for Hamlet.
- Hamlet tells them to recite a play that is similar to Hamlet's current situation. Hamlet then tells Polonius to give the actors a place to stay. Hamlet then pulls one of the actors aside to tell him that he wants to add some lines to the play by himself and the actor agrees. Everyone leaves the scene. Hamlet then reveals his new plan to pay close attention ti Claudius' reaction to see if hes's guilty while watching the play.
