- Rainsford was running for 3 day and not trying to be killed and he set up traps and killed general zaroff's best dog and he set up another trap killing Ivan he went to the sea and Rainsford hesitated. He heard the hounds. Then he leaped far out into the sea. . . . and Zaroff thought he was dead.
