- In December 26th 1776 general George Washington and his army were behind schedule because of the storm. The Americans soon arrive on the outskirts of Trenton around daybreak which caught the British off guard Which led to the Americans victory. Since that victory at Trenton encourages George Washington to cross the Delaware River for a second time to lure British forces from south to Trenton.

- It was fall 1781, the British occupy Yorktown where Cornwallis intends to resupply a 9,000 man army. While he waits for supplies and reinforcements from the Royal Navy. The continental army finds an opportunity to attack. On September 28 after a long march the American and the French forces finally arrive near Yorktown. on October 9th the allies are now within musket range of the British and American and the French troops are now in place and then the war begins.

- On January 17th 1781 the battle of Cowpens near Chesnee South Carolina was a critical American victory in the Revolutionary war. because of this British attempts to wrest the southern colonies from American control were weakened. On January 17th 1781 Morgan's men meet the British on wide open south Carolina pastureland . Morgan is worried that his men will panic in the early stages of combat. The battle of Cowpens was a harsh battle but the Americans took the victory,
