Storyboard Tekst

  • I'm tired!
  • I'm burning up out here!
  • Conduction is when there is a direct heat transfer of heat from one object to another. In this case, it's from a finger to a sparkler.
  • Convection is when heat is transferred by currents in a fluid. In this case, water is being heated up in a microwave causing the water molecules to move slower and spread apart. This would cause the heat coming from the water to rise in the air.
  • Radiation is when heat is transferred by electromagnetic waves. In this case, heat is being given off from the sun to the people, making the people very hot! Which also makes them worn out because they are losing kinetic energy.
  • Insulators are bad at transferring heat. An example is wood. This picture shows that since wood is an insulator it will catch on fire easily.
  • Heat can move between objects and spaces. This picture proves that because it shows the after image of the table after it was burned. The fire went through the table.
  • Atoms are the particles in an object. In this picture, the atoms in the finger are colliding with the atoms in the sparkler. When the hot atoms in the sparkler collide with the atoms in the finger, they make the finger really warm.
