- so as you saw first you must have a common denominator and you must add or subtract the numerator and then we start so as you see both of the denominators are 7 so that's a common denominator so we don't change it and then we add five and one we get six and we keep the seven
- So students does any one know how to add and subtract rational numbers

- 5/7+1/7=5+1/7=6/75/7-1/7=5-1/7=4/7
- so know were gonna learn how to add fractions with a different denominator.
- 1/3+1/6+5/8= 8/24+4/24+15/24=27/24=1 3/24 =1 1/8
- so know were gonna learn two lessons about subtracting fractions with the same denominator and the other one is a surprice at the end

- lets say we have a circle and half of it was shaded and only one part was left not shaded then that is 1/3and we have a square which only was shaded twice so it 2/4 so if we add them we get 3/7 simple.
