- Macbeth is all alone
- Macbeth is dead!

- Macbeth is told that all of his lords are abandoning him to fight with Malcom and that Macbeth will be on his own for the fight. Macbeth is also told that lady Macbeth has killed herself after attempting, and failing, to wash imaginary blood off her hands.
- Malcom tells his army to cut down parts of Burnham woods to cover themselves so that they are harder to see. Macduff goes to find Macbeth and challenges him to fight. Macbeth tells Macduff that there is no point trying to kill him as no man born of woman can kill him. Macduff then tells him that he was not born of woman and that he was cut out of his mother. Macbeth is killed.
- Macduff tells Malcom that Macbeth is killed. Malcom invites the other lords and is crowned kings.
