- We are all part of Vedic society, but have different roles in societ. These roles are called castes.
- What is your role in Vedic Society?
- I am a Brahmin, or priest, in Vedic Society. We practice Brahmanism.
- What about you? What do you do in Vedic society?
- I am a ruler, so I fall under the Kshatriya caste. Kshatriyas also include warriors.
- What is your caste in Vedic society?
- I am part of the Vaisya caste in Vedic society. Personally, I am a merchant, but there are also craftspeople.
- What is yiour Vedic role in society?
- I am a Sudra, we are workers and farmers.
- Why are you outside the village?
- I am a Dalit, or "Untouchable", so I am not allowed outside the village. I am forced to do the dirty jobs like street cleaning.
