- Boston Massacre (1770)
- France and Britain fought over land which was the Ohio River. Britain won. They had to earn the money back.
- Boston Tea Party (1773)
- In the Townshend Act, it put taxes on tea, glass, lead, paint, and paper. Colonists were angry, They were angry because they had to pay unfair taxes.
- Battle of Lexington and Concord (1775)
- Protests boycotts were happening. The two were getting more violent. War finally broke out between the colonists.
- Signing Of Declaration of Independence (1776)

- This was a response to Tea Act. Sons of Liberty disguised as Indians and boarded the boat. They threw chests of tea into the Boston Harbor.
- Paul Revere and others warned the minutemen that British soldiers that were coming to Concord. The British began to march back to Boston. While they were marching minutemen shoot British soldiers from behind stone walls and behind trees.
- Thomas Jefferson wrote a long statement, The Declaration or Independence. It explained why why the American Colonies should be free. He was announcing a important statement.
