This is a prime example of person versus self and is an internal conflict where Lennie is having a wave of emotions where he is afraid, sad, and quite possibly mad at himself for what he has done in this situation.
This is an internal conflict and by far one of the most conflicting things George has ever had to deal with in his life and shows a really good example of person versus self because all of the emotions inside him are against one another in this moment.
