- Climax
- This part is mainly about when the soldier got to the White family's house and when they ended up talking about the monkeys paw. He also explained to them about how it could have consequences if they made a wish.
- Falling Action
- I wish my son alive again.
- The rising action was when Mr. White made his first wish which was for their family to receive 200 pounds to pay off mortgage. This part also included when the white family were all having breakfast before Herbert went off to work.
- Resolution
- It is Herbert!
- The climax is when Mr. and Mrs. White got compensation for their son who had gotten killed by machinery at work. They ended up getting 200 pounds which was how much Mr. White had wished for the night before.
- I can not believe my Herbert is dead.
- The falling action is when the White's were mourning their sons death. Mrs. White then remembered they had two more wishes they could make on the monkeys paw so she got her husband to wish Herbert alive again.
- In the conclusion soon after Mr. White made his second wish her and her husband heard a knock on the door. Mr. White then made an unknown wish and his wife opened the door to a deserted road.
