Storyboard Tekst

  • Did you know we can survive days without food but not without water?
  • Water is very important to life on this world. People, animals, and plants all depend on it each day. This is why it is very important to keep the oceans healthy.
  • Some causes of ocean pollution are sewage that drains into the ocean. Oil spills from pipes that are underneath the water. Plastic from not being recycled or from people littering. With just these three examples of ocean pollution, it makes it one step closer to keeping the ocean unhealthy.
  • Because of not recycling, there is 13.2 tons of plastic in the ocean. With this much plastic floating around the ocean it can cause great damage to the animals. Birds can get stuck in plastic bags and fish may get caught in plastic containers.
  • Over 2,000 species of animals in the ocean are endangered, whales, seals, and salmon, just to name a few. 300,000 dolphins and porpoises die each year because of fishing nets and other items left in the ocean.
  • With all this ocean pollution it effects many things. The oxygen content in the water is low and illness and death comes upon the ocean life. Because of the ocean life dying the food chains also are effected.
