  • Wow! I've never seen anything like this! I want to climb up there and go over there!
  • What's that?
  • This ship is like a floating castle! I can see why Cliff dreamed of sailing on it!
  • Hi I am George, and I am from America. This knife is my good luck charm. It is made of elk antlers.
  • I am Marco and this is my son Enzo. We are moving to America.
  • My key?! Oh no, Aunt Daisy and Phoebe are in the room.
  • What was that? Is the room caving in? I must get out of here now!
  • Open this crate! There is a mummy in there that is worth millions!
  • RUMBLERUMBLERUMBLE
  • What are you doing in here? Oh, you're a rich kid, give me your room key!
  • George is on the Titanic with his Aunt Daisy and his sister, Phoebe. They are first-class passengers and are from America. They are staying in large quarters with a steward who brings them anything they want. George is amazed by the ship and wants to see every part of it.
  • Dad...no!!!
  • I knew there weren't enough boats!
  • Wait! He is only ten!George!!!
  • Enzo, it's gonna be ok!
  • George explores the ship. He climbs up to the crow's nest and down to the boiler room. Eventually, he ends up in the third-class recreation area where he meets a 4-year old boy named Enzo and his father, Marco. They are moving from Italy to start a new life in America, and George is their first American friend. George connects with them because Enzo lost his mother like he did.
  • We don't have too much space, but you can come on.
  • George learns that there is an ancient mummy in a crate in the baggage hold. That night, George sneaks into the baggage hold to see the mummy. He hears a noise, and a man who has a scar across his eye jumps out. The man pushes George down, takes his knife, and demands his room key. George tells him about the mummy. As the man starts to open the crate, there is a big rumbling sound that shakes the whole room. They have no idea that the ship just hit an iceberg.
  • I can't stop thinking about how I am still alive but so many people died on the Titanic.
  • The man who designed the Titanic told me I could build a boat.
  • We could build a small boat for our pond. Would you like to do that with me today?
  • The Titanic was sinking, and it did not have enough boats to save all the passengers on the ship. Women and children were allowed on the boats first. George's sister and aunt, along with Enzo, made it onto one of the boats. When George went to get on, he was told that there was no more room. George was left with Marco, along with over a thousand others who were stuck on the sinking ship. Marco tells George that they are going to jump off the ship and find a crate to float on until help comes.
  • Once Marco and Enzo have gotten on the crate Marco starts paddling to the nearest boat he can see. After a while, Marco passes out from the icy water and George sees a boat in the distance. George paddles and get to the boat, reluctantly there is enough space for both of them to get on the boat. After a long night on the boat, they see Aunt Daisy, Phoebe, and Enzo on a boat like the Titanic. George and Marco get on the boat that takes all of them to New York City.
  • Thank you so much for letting us on.
  • Once they are safely in America, Aunt Daisy keeps Enzo while Marco goes to the hospital. George and his sister see their dad. George did not have a close relationship with his dad following his mother's death. However, after surviving the Titanic, George and his dad realize how important they are to each other. George is very sad and feels for all the people who did not survive the Titanic. George's dad comforts him, and they talk about building a boat together.
