- In this environment, there are two types of rabbit breeds. One breed is white, and they blend in the snow easier. The other breed is light brown. Additionally, the light brown breed tend to be slower and fatter.
- Since the white rabbits blend in with the snow, they are harder to be spotted by predators. On the other hand, the light brown rabbits do not blend in, so they are more prone to be caught by a predator. They are also very slow and unathletic.
- On a random afternoon, a new predator was introduced to the forest. The animal was a bobcat. This caused mayhem in the colony of rabbits and caused all the rabbits to flee from the area because of the fox.
- In this forest, there are multiple variations among the two rabbit breeds living there. One breed is a dark brown, and the other is a light brown. The dark brown breed is harder to see, and it is much faster and more athletic than the light brown breed.
- Because more white rabbits survived the bobcat, they reproduced and became more common. This created the population to consist mostly of white rabbits instead of light brown rabbits.
- Eventually, the whole population became white because the light brown rabbits were hunted down by the bobcat, but the white rabbits were able to survive because of their agility and white fur that helped them blend in with the snow.
